TAFFY Thomas pops into Waterstones at Kendal on Saturday (July 28) to sign copies of his newly released Cumbrian Folk Tales book. Grasmere-based Taffy - who has a repertoire of more than 300 stories - travels far and wide spinning his yarns and will tell a few at the town centre bookstore at 11am and 3pm. Taffy has an MBE for services to storytelling and charity and, in 2009, was given the honorary position of first national laureate for storytelling.
