Organisers of the 16th CAMRA Westmorland Beer Festival at Kendal Town Hall rolled out the red carpet on Monday for the 50 real ales which will take a starring role at this year's event. Festival highlights include tutored tasting sessions and the launch of CAMRA's new 'Locale' scheme which rewards those pubs promoting local brews. The beer festival is open from 12noon to 11pm through to Saturday. This year's nominated charity is the Riversiders Club which is funded by Westmorland Mencap and run by the Oaklea Trust.
